God Fires Man Debut Album News
New York quartet God Fires Man follow up the release of their debut EP with their debut album this month. See the full press release below for more details:

"God Fires Man are four like-minded souls, united by a common ability to produce a perfect punch of intelligent, melody-driven, intense alt-rock the way far too many have forgotten.

Cutting their teeth in an array of previous bands - Arty from the critically acclaimed Errortype:11 and Instruction, Joseph from Garrison and the debauched, sexually deviant Gay for Johnny Depp and Drew Thomas from Into Another and Walking Concert – the gentlemen from God Fires Man have sampled both the delights and downfalls of being in a band. From playing both anarchist squats and sold out tours and festivals in front of tens of thousands to being wined and dined by major labels with empty promises and failed commitments, they’ve seen all corners of an ever-changing industry and channelled these experiences into their music. The result is a rounded mix of influences from Muse-esque epic soundscapes to the experimental walls of noise of early nineties Smashing Pumpkins with a nod to shoe-gazing heroes My Bloody Valentine.

Formed in the summer of 2006, God Fires Man promptly recorded and released an online-only 5 track EP to a great success, followed by a UK tour in January 2007 with buddies Hundred Reasons. Shortly after came a record deal stateside with famed label InDeGoot Recordings with whom they set about recording their first full-length record with Ethan Dussault (Cave-In, Lot 6) and Brian Virtue (Audioslave, Deftones, Jane''s Addiction).

Signing to indie label Xtra Mile Recordings in the UK, the album ‘A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun’ will be released in January 2008, preceded by The ‘Dark’ EP on December 10th. The EP features the first single from the record and 3 b-sides, ‘Redefine’, ‘Bombs’ and the anthemic ‘Still’."
